Successful young writer Emily Wilson sets off from New York to Bainbridge Island to visit her cousin Grandma Bee. The girl has gone through a divorce and a creative crisis, so she hopes that outside the metropolis she will be able to master her thoughts and feelings. However, life on the ocean shore is no longer as carefree as it seemed in childhood during vacations. Some of the island's residents seem to be in a silent conspiracy.
