Sixteen-year-old El lives the life of an entirely ordinary American teenager. He doesn't stand out at school, and after classes, he hangs out with a friend or works part-time at a movie theater. He falls in love unrequitedly with unattainable beauties and is preoccupied with getting into university. El's parents are divorced, each with a new family for a long time: his dad in Ukraine, his mom in the USA. Arriving at his dad's for the holidays, El meets Eva – his "new sister."
Fifteen-year-old Eva is a fire girl, bright and impulsive. She hangs out with rockers, chills at the "Bочка" bar, and loves an adult man: a musician, of course. El and Eva are discovering life, maturing, making mistakes, learning to be friends, communicating, experiencing their first crushes and first life difficulties.
